@wakest

I asked you this question before, maybe in scuttlebutt, when I noticed you were tasting the various decentralized social networks. But now it looks like I see you much more in mastadon, so I assume you like that better?

I'm tasting, too, but probly have different reasons and comfort zones.

Lotsa sorta interesting comparisons in SSB about Mastadon. Not so may re SSB here, which figures, Mastadon is hugely more popular.

I don't yet have a pithy diff. If you ever do...

@bhaugen My 1st experiment was , after @richdecibels promoted it last new year. It wouldn't work for me, I was invisible it seems? Chatty and casual, knowable community? Mastodon is 2nd experiment. Noisy wider environment (tells me why I never wanted to use ) and very noisy web interface. Actually, was 2nd experiment (thanks again rich), and like it very much. Want to discuss, engage, do joint work, not very interested in broadcasting sound bites. Mastodon is minor.

Of those three, I started with Loomio, got turned on to SSB from some friends there, and then got turned on to social.coop from @mayel in a telegram chat.

Still using all three. Loomio less, for whatever reason. Work gets coordinated more in Telegram, because of FairCoop which is one of our main user groups. But Telegram is a horrible medium for coordinating work.
If the Mutual Aid Network can get ActivityPub up and running, that will change a lot of our dynamics.
