I think Friendica and Diaspora* also fulfill that role though they don't federate w/ the ActivityPub fediverse like Mastodon and Pleroma
@shel @mike_hales Friendica federates with Mastodon, via OStatus. diaspora* indeed does not support ActivityPub for now. But since it federates with Friendica, Hubzilla, Socialhome and GangGo (all - macroblogging platforms), it gets quite a lot of content.
