This is sobering. No matter how much you disagree with the actions of the Israeli government and the settler movement, taking it out on the Jewish diaspora is not the answer. Just as taking out COVID lockdown resentment on anyone who look Asian is not OK.

I found Baddiel's _Jews Don't Count_ (from a progressiva British Jewish perspective) quite sobering too. Growing up as an overseas Chinese in SE Asia, I can relate to his experience somewhat - being simultaneously discriminated against and being resented for perceived economic influence - but my 'folks' have not had to endure it for two millennia, so it's still a very inadequate comparison.
