It's such a learning experience working on the #MoodleNet project with @dajbelshaw, with an open-by-default approach, which isn't limited to the code - we're involving the #community in the whole process of "how the sauce is made".
Here for example are some diagrams of 3 possible approaches to building the #platform architecture:
- Fully #federated
- Federated with a core #API-as-a-service
- Centralised #SaaS

@mayel @dajbelshaw what exactly will this moodlenet api centralized server do? will this be deployable like an instance? how much data will it store?
It would be basically a search engine.
For MoodleNet content (educational resources), not for Mastodon or the rest of fediverse.
@mayel @dajbelshaw do not attempt to centralize fediverse... i hope you fail.
