Speaking of a quintessential early-Internet experience... I still miss the Joel vs. Mike pissfights in alt.fan.mst3k. I wasn't in it; I thought it was weak*, but I still miss that zaniness.

*FTR: Mike was an excellent host, though I'm still kind of a Joel guy.
