Beautiful of aerial traffic out of and , from the 1968 master plan of Damascus, by Michel Écochard.

There are many beautiful things to note, One of my favourite is that the map spreads eastwards as well as westwards. Riyadh and Jaddah are there, but there are fewer flights than to Delhi, Karachi, and Bombay.

I wonder what a similar infographic would look like today.
