@jd that's bullshit. i learned about all those things while i was homeless. people took the time to teach me that stuff and it saved my life. some mf'ers want us to just be grateful for any bit of food or cash and only radicals gave me the fucking framework to understand what the fuck was wrong. it pisses me off when people say stuff like that, more than you know.
@jd i used to believe all that stuff wasn't worth paying attention to... *until* all of a sudden i needed it and i started listening to the people who were talking about it. the problem is that this information is kept away from people.
@jd a lot of it i learned in the psych ward from other disabled marginalized people.
@jd still others i learned from white cis male radicals who were considerably more privileged than me. i'm glad they took the time to do that instead of living a lifestyle separate from the rest of the universe.
@jd other stuff i learned in a trans homeless center... in both cases from people who were, in many ways, more marginalized than me.
