I consider myself a reasonably smart guy. I’m not an idiot. I’ve used computers for a long time.

I have never been able to get the app to do what I want with the Share Sheet.

Did I share an “Article”? A “Safari web page”? A “URL”? “Text”? It’s impossible to know.

All I want to do is share a -formatted link to the thing I’m sharing, no matter where I’m sharing it from. That should not be difficult.

@jsit One of the key concepts of #Shortcuts is its automatic type conversion. If everything goes ok, Shortcuts will guess the appropriated data format to use in each case. It mostly works, until it doesn’t, but you can help it with type conversion actions like “Get text from input”.

If you enable “Show in Share Sheet” and unselect all data types except “Text”, your #shortcut will be available any time you have text, and it will interpret as such whatever you share with it.
