Alright from the very first title card it looks like the Tubi version (left) is substantially different from the archive.org version (right). anyone got any info on the various releases of this movie? #monsterdon
ya woof, the tubi version is like a million times clearer than the archive.org version. idk if that's some "AI upsampling" thing or if it is just a much better restoration #monsterdon

@aburka i'm going with the english dub (i don't see the tubi version having spanish audio?) and i'll also grab the english subs in a sec (also don't see other languages there from tubi) but if you want additional sub languages just lmk where they are and i can upload em

@jonny yeah I doubt it's upscaling: especially since it's black and white, it's probably just a clearer reproduction based upon the original film
@jonny Amazon has it with the free trial of 'full moon' so I'm doing that. I just need to remember to unsubscribe from it tomorrow so I don't get billed
@jonny archive isn't a good option for me anyway. i need to be able to watch in my tv so i can post on my laptop
@Taweret yeah i get that, i think that most smart TVs that have browsers can watch peertube videos? but idk i just would do literally anything in order to not see ads so i know that's not other ppl's highest priority

it looks like both of them are cropping the original in some way - in the tubi version, it's been cropped vertically to be 16:9, but the archive.org version is cropped horizontally and has vertical black bands around the edges. what in tarnation #monsterdon

@rallias like i assume the amazon part was the derogatory term for a very tall and muscular woman but what does the whole construction of the sentence mean "as an amazon, ..." #monsterdon
