2020 and browsers still cannot reliably resume paused or failed downloads
I love this. I think it solves the problem of #bookmarks for me. Links to handy tools can live in my knowledge base, and links to blogs that I don't want to forget about can go in here, surfaced in my browser start page every so often.

People that take the Glasgow-Edinburgh train have developed this anarcho-communist ticket sharing economy and I love it. It's because return tickets cost literally only 10 pence more than a single, so people just buy returns and leave the other ticket at the station they arrive at.

it's so fucking amazing to me that art is a thing humans do. like we're under absolutely constant pressure to perform, to fulfil ten million different obligations, and yet there are still so many people that just say fuck that i'll make something useless. it doesnt matter how much a piece of art sucks, they all have the potential to be fascinating because they open up the doors to gratuitous emotions and meaning-making, and that is a spellbinding activity all by itself.
