@thomasfuchs I've yet to see anything I like better than the Sharp X1 (a Z80 system from Japan). Beautiful red case, builtin tape deck, matching keyboard and CRT.
@christianbundy I got #scuttlebutt working and I really like it! The high-res images are a real treat 👌 Not sure it's for me though... I feel that the kind of bite-sized interactions I'd want to have with internet strangers are better mediated over mastodon, although perhaps it's just a case of finding the right people to share that richer content with 🤔
Federation of anything is a socio-political governance challenge. Look at Europe.
In any dispute there will be other realities you haven’t thought of, hopes that you have overlooked.
How this is discussed, how people listen to each other, how creative solutions are sought out, defines the capacity of humans to create real change.
The alternative is that innovation is just us moving the world’s problems from one platform to another.

We do this properly, or not at all.
