@christianbundy I got working and I really like it! The high-res images are a real treat πŸ‘Œ Not sure it's for me though... I feel that the kind of bite-sized interactions I'd want to have with internet strangers are better mediated over mastodon, although perhaps it's just a case of finding the right people to share that richer content with πŸ€”

People often wonder why printers are so cantankerous but frankly any device that embeds pigmented runes in the remains of long-dead trees is going to be stricken by an ancient faerie curse from the start

Small thoughts.

Federation of anything is a socio-political governance challenge. Look at Europe.

In any dispute there will be other realities you haven’t thought of, hopes that you have overlooked.

How this is discussed, how people listen to each other, how creative solutions are sought out, defines the capacity of humans to create real change.

The alternative is that innovation is just us moving the world’s problems from one platform to another.

I've just completed the "applied accessibility" module on freeCodeCamp. Amazing stuff! Chuffed that this is suitably prominent in a web-design curriculum.

fonts!

Somebody mentioned here recently that Google has a scary grip over the technologies underlying how we build/use the internet and mentioned Google Fonts (among other things). This got me a little spooked but also made me more conscious of how I use fonts and the fonts I should be using/supporting.

Can anybody link me to good resources for how I should be setting up fonts for web, and just nice, pleasing (?) fonts I can use for personal computing?
