The most recent 3D printing project I wrote about was a months-long process of design and iteration, but one skill I'm particularly interested in honing with my 3D printer is solving niche problems quickly.
3D printing is particularly good for this because it's relatively quick, doesn't require time and energy to buy materials (assuming you have a stockpile of filament) or components, and is fully bespoke.

@harris This is precisely why I started printing back in 2014. Idk what it is, but my brain is always trying to find better ways to do things, and I can't get them out of my head until I make them. The ideas come from nowhere and without provocation.
My skill and ability with CAD and modeling isn't as great as it can be because I only learn enough to do what I need and then lose interest, but I use my printer to make my life easier. Solve my own problems
