@njoseph IMHO breaking folks out of the #DataFarms requires every geek to set up a VPS (or box-in-the-closet) for their tribe (150 closest family and friends), and actively trained anyone keen to learn how to do the same; #CommunityHosting more so than #SelfHosting

So remember how I said I wasn't going to show up for their ridiculous speeches?

The march was supposed to start at 12:30, which is when we got there. By 1PM the DSA said fuck it and started marching and we and thousands of us went to actually march.

The official march never happened. They let so many people give ridiculous speeches that they went over time and never did the important part of showing up to ICE.

I'm tired of saying I told you so about these things.

My opinion is that giving speeches for multiple hours to people who already agree with you is ridiculous when there are viable actions you can be doing like actually showing up to ICE and not letting them get their work done.

MoveOn.org decided that hearing from Eric Garcetti and Cher was more important than marching to ICE?

We marched over to ICE, did a bunch of shouts and chants with thousands of people, then marched BACK OVER to city hall where they were still doing speeches. And then they had to give up and not march because the police were clearing the streets.

It feels like a bunch of politicians just used brown kids in concentration camps to get stage time in front of tens of thousands of people..? 🙃
