@switchingsocial looking for something like strava but FOSS and privacy-preserving (ideally, self-hosting instead of posting tracks to someone else's server) - any recommendations? I know there are many apps that record a gpx trail, interested to hear what actually works well in practice. Android for preference

@telent Most of my tracking is captive because I used Garmin devices. I have friends on Strava, Endomondo, and elsewhere. I am currently hooked up to tapiriik - a service that will copy your activites from any silo to any silo _including Dropbox_. This will at least put all your tracks somewhere you can get at them. (And you can turn everything "private" on Strava) tapiriik.com/
