TIL [[laurie spiegel]] is the developer of [[music mouse]], a cult music making program for Mac that I heard about earlier this year.
@flancian There's a really great documentary, [[Sisters With Transistors]], that shows Spiegel demoing a bit of Music Mouse.
@neil yes, we saw it earlier in the year! Perhaps that's how I remembered music mouse? But it took me a while to make the connection with Spiegel, I remember checking out a few of the musicians in the documentary on streaming but not her for some reason.
She also wrote the opening track for the [[Voyager golden record]] (!)
