Listening to the history of the @LEGO_Group brand. Big love :) Just putting this here, since I'll be talking @greenpeace soon! How LEGO got awesome to t.co/hlHnFtTq7E

"Governments of the Industrial World, you weary giants of flesh and steel, I come from Cyberspace, the new home of Mind. On behalf of the future, I ask you of the past to leave us alone. You are not welcome among us. You have no sovereignty where we gather."

— J. P. Barlow, "A Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace"

Later today: I will ramble about stuff I believe in as a keynote at in Sweden. Talking , @WeAreOpenCoop @greenpeace and @opensourceway. I might accidentally say the word "-capitalism" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When people brag about their number of followers in their bios, I vomit in my mouth a bit.

If you wait long enough, you won’t have to change your password because either the company shut down or they upgraded and you got lost in the migration.

Who knows a good front end dev? How is it possible that we are having a hard time filling a for @greenpeace international 1st project? Peeps - please share: workfor.greenpeace.org/vacanci

I do all my own slides, and it takes time, every time, even for repeat talks :/

Listening to a panel on technology and climate change. One lady, seven dudes. And without taking that sad fact into account, when has an 8 person panel ever been a good idea?

@Gargron Money rules the world. Money is power. Capitalism has clear favourites. The risk is not just to the individual, manipulation of finances can tilt entire economic systems. See 2008. See recent elections and the role of financing. The will of the people can move mountains, if that will is heard. Enabling through technology isn't the magic bullet, but I don't believe it is inherently any more risky than the way analog systems work.

Yeah, and this argument can be made about all kinds of things. Paper money under the mattress versus a bank account for example. I'm thinking that given the move towards digitally equipped societies, our accessibility to civic participation seems just as important as our ability to [insert other life admin examples]. FWIW I'm interested in this discussion, not trying to sway or troll. I understand both perspectives, and don't need to be convinced either way.
