App stores have a track record of acting capriciously & are also easy targets for gov't censors (including Trump). This is why alternatives like @fdroidorg are so important for user freedom.

@eloquence - I'm not surprised by Mastodon getting kicked out of the Google Play store. Do you know if IP addresses are considered private information according to CCPA?

So far none have been kicked out yet as far as I know, and not all appear to have received warnings. Not sure re: CCPA, but also not sure why relevant, since these apps generally just let you connect to an instance of your choice.
