I'm getting ready for a meeting next week to discuss decentralized storage for community archives: shiftcollective.us/ffdw

We are going to be talking in part about how Historypin resources can be redundantly preserved independent of the platform.

I put together a small tool called Pincushion which builds static sites for Historypin accounts, and we're going to put participants archives on personal thumb drives to seed discussion. github.com/edsu/pincushion

Seven 500GB thumb drives, which will hold people's archives on. Some USB/USB-C adaptors will also be on hand in case they are needed.
