Like lots of people I enjoyed Dawn of Everything too, and jotted down some high level notes about things I want to remember, and dig into a bit more -- especially around broadened ideas of record keeping, writing and knowledge systems that it contains.

@edsu what did you enjoy the least and what surprised you the most?

@woodbark I kinda get into that at the end of the post: the new evidence for forms of writing and record keeping that aren't rooted in the needs of agrarian cities. Also the style surprised me too, it is conversational and sometimes humorous, even as it moved through some dense topics. Least maybe not really knowing what got written after Graeber died, if anything.
