The beta release of OpenAlex is available:

It's 500TB of tab-delimited metadata about scholarly publishing that replaces the recently shuttered Microsoft Academic Graph, which apparently was quite unique in providing bulk access to this data (unlike Google Scholar, WebOfScience, etc).

I am curious why they didn't compress it since it's requester pays S3. I'm fetching the PaperUrls.txt (43GB) to take a quick look.
