I noticed pypi was down and saw on Twitter that they reported that their CDN was down.
So I did a quick `host pypi.org` and then a `whois 188.8.131.52` and saw they seemed to use Fastly. A Twitter search for 'fastly' and it's pretty clear it's not just PyPI that's down.
It's an infrastructural inversion kinda morning.
@edsu Hah! Hoping that is automation run amuck and not someone that is manually entering that status.
@edsu The NPR news blurb this morning said that AWS was affected, but their status page didn't show any problems. Maybe something bigger than Fastly's web CDN being down? A bad BGP route?
