Cars as a luxury rather than the norm... Here's hoping. https://medium.com/@ow/its-time-to-consider-cars-a-luxury-cycling-is-taking-the-world-by-storm-137afbd0775f
@sandro CW... sorry... no, don't get over it.
@sandro "The Web is Under Threat. Can RChain Answer?" is my most recent talk: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1GOboFZj311rfGExrtCFp3aaQ2vYhxHqX3qnix21nqo4/edit#slide=id.p
@sandro leaving economics out of scope is the naive mistake that got us here, no?
@mchlmc Wild... that's pretty much what I just put in my comment when I joined social.coop!
The co-operative values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity could easily have been used to write the #introduction to the future many envisioned when the World Wide Web went live. Although today we are far removed from this vision, projects like #SocialCoop and the #IndieWeb offer us a way back to an open, people-focused web. I am pleased to be involved.
social.coop is a cooperatively-run corner of the Fediverse. The instance is democratically governed by its members, who generally share an interest in the co-op model, but topics of discussion range widely.
Our instance is supported by sliding scale contributions of $1-10/mo made via Open Collective. You must have an active Open Collective account to apply for membership; you may set one up here
