Interesting - listening to this guy from Seattle who cut his own CEO salary to ensure his staff was well paid: https://www.rnz.co.nz/national/programmes/saturday/audio/2018803421/dan-price-the-ceo-who-slashed-his-salary-by-1-million Kim Hill asks him if he could've achieved the same if his company was public/listed. He suggests he couldn't. The system's broken & public trust of public corporations is misplaced.
@lightweight I read about this when it initially happened. I'm glad to hear more of what happened after, and that they're still around and the employees are doing well. I can't believe the pressure he must've been under. His own brother suing him of all things...
@IngaLovinde Thanks for the link. I'm not sure what to do with the extra information regarding the lawsuit. It's clear the story got much more attention than I ever realized with details I hadn't heard before, and it's a swirling hot mess of a thing where the truth will be unknowable to me... Maybe I'll avoid boosting it from now on. :/
