Recently reading about deer being introduced into Australia reminded about how African Oryx were introduced into the region where I grew up: https://www.nps.gov/whsa/learn/nature/african-oryx.htm
What I wasn't aware of until I read that article was that people also introduced two other foreign species. We're always going on about invasive species, but seem to give a pass to the ultimate invasive species. 🤔
