@Naxjns Twitter, by far my most-used social media before switching to Mastodon.
@Naxjns I've just been [obsessively] thinking about it a lot the past few weeks, and I really can't justify using a surveillance and advertising platform to connect with my friends and family.
Corporate intermediation in our personal lives just weirds me out.
Do you have a simlar number of advertisers and ad campaigns? I think I saw it in my settings/privacy page.

@Naxjns @christianbundy wait don’t do it! Not until we can weaponize all our accounts currently on the ad supported surveillance networks and go out in a blaze of glory bringing with us as many builders of the new better internet as we can.

I saw the post about advertising..that is horrifying ! I've yet to pull myself off Twitter yet . Probably won't be long till I do though
