@christianbundy I'm super interested in the future of #dat. What's your experience so far?

I've made my personal website available on dat at dat://tomjwatson.com and I'm really interested in using the protocol for p2p applications (where users needn't even know they're using dat).

@tomjwatson I love the ideas that Dat is bringing to the table, but I'm not completely convinced that people will end up switching browsers just for dat:// URLs, especially with the rise of rootless computing (Android, iOS, ChromeOS, etc).

The documentation says that Dat is available over WebRTC, which all current browsers can do today, but unfortunately after a few hours of banging my head against the wall I wasn't able to get it working without installing Beaker.
