It made me think though, there is so much more we can do to express our gratitude than a monument. I'd love to see cultural overtures, like youth exchange programmes. Or a trade or intercultural education thing, or even direct finance to help the Choctaw Nation thrive in modern America. How many Irish people are alive today because of their help?
