#botany nerds of Mastodon, this plant grows on verges and disturbed ground all around Ireland but I don't know what it is. We used to call it "dock" but I don't think it's a dock. Any ideas?

@cathal hey! It definitely looks like a type of dock. Docks and sorrels come in a huge variety of leaf shapes and propagation habits.
I think this is Acetosa sagittata. There are a LOT of species of dock, but this particular species is sometimes called "rambling dock" or "potato vine". However, I am not sure that A. sagittata is common in Ireland, so there's a good chance it's another species of dock or sorrel that is particular to Ireland.
