What is even the point of Sonic in Sonic Mania? Tails can fly and kills baddies while doing so. Knuckles can glide, fast, and climb, and kills baddies while doing so. Sonic can...jump. I gather in a particular mode he gets the shield power from Sonic 3, but in main modes he does not.
