S1E1: about as expected. Very well executed, oodles of fanservice (not the anime kind), plenty of cheerful gore, and plot holes you could walk a mature Deathclaw through.

Side thought: if modern video content is going to have such a hard to hear voice track, the least modern video players could do is make it way easier to turn subtitles on/off. Gimme a fucking gesture for that please!
