@dansup @bhaugen So based on that Tweet my bet would be that Gitlab will be sold either to Google or Microsoft in the near future. For the projects who can't host their own repos, including people who are just starting out in software development, we need better solutions than silos which get sold to tech Zaibatsu.

@dansup @bhaugen If Microsoft monopolizes easy project hosting then this is an obvious way that they can make projects or licenses they don't approve of fail. They can also tie that in to their existing education monopoly.
