Somebody needs to tell Neal Stephenson that nobody wants to read 900 page books

@pelagikat I love his work but since Anathem in particular his books have been too long

@ben_hr Anathem was a slog, but I maintain that Seveneves was one of the best books I've read in the last 20 years.

@pelagikat I’ll confess to having bailed early on that. I should revisit. I genuinely wonder if it’s because he doesn’t think he needs an editor any more.

@ben_hr Yeah, possibly. But I often find persistence pays off with his writing, the story is worth the effort.
