Learning to sew by making a tote bag. Used fabric scraps from the East Bay Center for Creative Reuse.
It's fun how quick this is, compared to knitting.
#FediTips and not a subtoot: if you are streaming a thread of toots from brain to keyboard, you can set your first reply as "Unlisted", and then reply to each successive toot. It'll keep the replies from overwhelming people (incl. your local timeline), but interested parties can still follow the thread.
People on the birbsite (where the toot above was reposted) have suggested so far:

Are there examples of a #Coop using the #PPL?
https://wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Peer_Production_License
Right now #ZincCoop uses the #ProsperityLicense (https://prosperitylicense.com) as a way to prevent non-commercial use while granting broad usage for non-commercial entities; with an explicit "If you're a #Cooperative, you can get an unlimited properitary commercial license for free" policy.
#PPL seems to support licensing to #Cooperatives for commercial use, which seems perfect!
If anyone missed it last night, I've launched a BBS (yes, an old-school BBS, text interface, you access it via telnet) to act as a chill social hangout for #trans folk.
Since it just went live, it's very small, but if we can grow it into a cozy little community, I think it could be pretty great.
If you're interested in the details, contact me directly.
Boosts are also appreciated!

"I thank you, my friend, for your all too-flattering estimate, but yet I fear that I am but a little way on the road I would travel. True, I know the grammar and the words, but yet I know not how to speak them."
Y'all, today is one of those rare "gettable by the olds" Heardles.
