They can start by stop trying to be a bad copy of Google Chrome and instead embrace their own advantages. The extensibility of Firefox (and Seamonkey, though that project's more removed than Firefox) was and still is its greatest strength. Another is offering more options to users, which is the antithesis of Chrome due to Google treating every user like they're 5 years old.
