Reading Kropotkin's Mutual Aid, a pleasant, inspiring book that I should have read years ago. #mutualaid #federation
@Antanicus @Matt_Noyes revolution will not be announced by god :P
revolution does not come from books :P
@syndikalista @Antanicus re: will not / does not
Like revolution, gods and books are products of #palingenesis (not to be confused with #michaelpalingenesis). #pierreleroux
@Matt_Noyes @Antanicus "the act of destruction is an act of creation (something new)" :P
@syndikalista @Antanicus trivially true? Sounds like 'creative destruction'. Sometimes destruction is just destruction, even if it can be exploited. #shockdoctrine #anatijoux
@syndikalista By the way, what are you studying? I am interested in how you see connections to platform cooperativism.
@Matt_Noyes i am finishing my BA in history of science and technology (but i am more on the technology part) after studying a few years civil engineering. what do you mean by connections to platform cooperativism? As opposed to plattform capitalism or something else?
@syndikalista Just curious how people find their way to platform cooperativism, how they see its relevance.
@Antanicus inch'allah. Kropotkin's tone is amiable and generous. I am in no position to assess the validity of his empirical claims about various species of animals or ancient agrarian communities, but the rejection of social Darwinism and case for mutuality seems correct and the points about federation are helpful.
@Matt_Noyes
You're the second person in less than 24h who tooted about Kropotkin. I take it a sign of the gods that the revolution is near :D
