Really the level of attrition with so many members to burnt or afraid to engage at this point will be its biggest obstacle.
Hoping that with a strong core it will build the momentum and trust needed to bring many who have been disengaged or never engaged forward to take part in saving this organization.
@emi @clhendricksbc @rbenjamin yes good point, I've noticed it seems to lag and not be complete as well. I see that there have been reports about timelines not working after upgrading to 2.5.0 https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/8656
I asked about this over in the riot chat, and will let you know if I hear anything.
I see content but it's usually a day or two old. And not from everyone on the instance. For example, I follow a few people on social.coop and I'll see their post in my home timeline, but it doesn't show up in my local timeline.
@emi yes I’m certain I’ve observed the same thing. I’m going to try to identify a post that should be in the local timeline that isn’t, to see if it can help.
Think i've noticed something like this since I joined #socialcoop although never really explored.
I mainly interact via Twidere on Android.
Noticed that some people who I follow, who are on SC, there posts dont show up on the SC public timeline.
Wondered if it may be something to do with the way the instance is set up on docker (not that I understand that)
Just thought, could it be the way some users have the privacy of their posts set?
Well, it used to show up for me (before the update). And some folks show up, just really really delayed (on my home timeline their posts shows up in real time, but on the local timeline it shows up a day later)...
I also don't think it's affecting everyone. From what I've heard, others haven't been having the same issues?
The wait at the doctor’s office is a bit longer than expected. But if not exactly at that time, a bit after.
A Fediverse instance for people interested in cooperative and collective projects.
