#JoinFediverseWiki is almost ready for it's official launch in 8 days.
Right now I'm gathering feedback from people who are not deep into the Fediverse yet.
What you can do to help:
* #boost this post.
* show the wiki to your non-fedizen friends and forward me their feedback.
* of course you can give me feedback yourself even if you're a Fediverse veteran.
* help edit the wiki. For now I wrote almost everything myself.
Happy holidays everybody. 🎉
Bonus Track: learn more about us and our motivation to change the future of work from a different and feline point of view with this conversation with the very DisCO CAT! 😼 💚 👇
An underutilised asset coops have is their email lists.
I'm involved in building a #platformcoop that helps coops promote each other in their email newsletters.
If you know a coop that would like to promote other coops in its newsletter or be promoted in other coops newsletters, let me know!
1/2 From my friend Tanvi Lad at SoilCycle:
Help needed ...Through microscopy and biomass assays, we know our compost tea contains diverse populations of beneficial microbes, but state fertilizer law requires a guarantee of the organisms present, down to the species, in terms of CFUs. For that, turns out morphology under the microscope won't cut it, plate counts don't really represent the natural environment, and all the labs we've called only identify/quantify pathogens not beneficials... 🤔
SomaFM is amazing. Commercial-free, listener-supported radio stations that are just a standard stream (any shoutcast client works, and they embed a web player on their page). They've been hosting DEF CON Radio for quite a while.
They're awesome, donation-based, and currently badly in need of funds. Like them? Please consider donating a bit. Never heard of them? Check it out, you'll probably find an interesting station or two.
Started donating $15 month to GEO, a fantastic online publication that maybe has the best collection of articles about cool projects of all medias out there.
Focused a lot on co-ops, but also other forms of counter-economy based on mutual self-help.
Recommend you check out the site and become a donor too.
Hey there, that's my #introduction
🌻 I'm a semi-professional gardener, working in a urban csa (community supported agriculture) in #Leipzig.
NYCers have a new ridehailing alternative to Uber: The Drivers Cooperative is a driver-owned, app-based ride-hailing service that pays drivers more, charges riders less, and pays out any profits to driver-owners as periodic dividends.
Platform cooperativism is a powerful antidote to app-based gig work: a way to provide customers with the convenience that made app-based services so popular while putting workers in control of their days, schedules and conditions.
A Fediverse instance for people interested in cooperative and collective projects.
