Yesterday was the last day of the apocalyptically bad heat, and today should be the end of the heat overall, hopefully for awhile. After a brief time of heat indexes flirting with 90 this afternoon, we’ll see things cool down significantly as storms pass through. Unfortunately these storms could be severe like yesterday, so you’ll again have to keep an eye out and have the ability to get severe weather alerts.

After that a weather system is going to stall over us. The good news is it will be cooler; the bad news is that it’s going to rain a lot. Looks like several inches of rain over the next few days, and let’s hope that Hurricane Lee steers out to see and doesn’t bring any of that rain to us!

@JosephAndriano Yes, I was looking at the forecast... rain pretty much every day for the next week!
Such a strange summer here in #Vermont !
@danyork I’m not worried about Hurricane Lee yet (way too far out to say what will happen) but I sure hope that it doesn’t bring tropical moisture onshore for Vermont. The last thing we need is more tropical downpours.
