@Antanicus I don’t understand why people think this is so ridiculous. I certainly wouldn’t want to die right now, but if faced with say some fatal condition and only a few months left to live in agony, why not risk losing a little for the potential of some semblance of yourself being preserved. Even if they can’t actually simulate you, there would be neuroscience to learn from many scanned brains.
